These are the outside services The Self Mirror uses to run, and what each one receives. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information; this page names the companies it describes. We update this page when a provider changes.
Services that receive information

Names and the AI
Profiles, readings and answers to your questions are written by a third-party AI service from your charts, test results and notes, and the questions you ask. We keep the people in them from being named: their names are left out or replaced with stand-in names, including in your notes and questions. Anything else you type in a note or a question, including other people's names, is sent as written. We take care with this but can't guarantee it; a mistake could let a name through. If we ever change how names are handled, we'll tell you and ask you to agree again before it applies.
Not sent anywhere
- Fonts and page scripts are served by The Self Mirror itself. The one exception is the sign-in screen, which loads Google's Firebase sign-in code from Google (listed above).
- Country check at sign-up: done with an offline database (DB-IP, CC BY 4.0) inside the app; your IP address isn't sent anywhere or stored.
- Planetary positions for Today are calculated inside the app from NASA's published data.
Payments
Paid plans aren't on sale yet. When they are, payments will go through a payment provider, which will be added here first.
Links to other sites
Some screens link to free tests on other sites (for example, a Big Five or Enneagram test). Nothing is sent to them unless you follow the link.
